Dr.Snehal P. Khandekar, Assistant Professor, Food Technology at DY Patil Agriculture and Technical University, Talsande was invited as an expert speaker by the Ichalkaranji Medical Association for their Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on 29th June 2025. The event brought together doctors and diabetes patients with the aim of promoting scientific awareness on diabetes management. She delivered an engaging and informative session on “Diabetes: Managing it through Diet and Nutrition,” highlighting dietary guidelines, smart food choices, lifestyle practices, and the role of balanced nutrition in controlling blood sugar levels. She also addressed several common myths and misconceptions surrounding diabetic diets, helping participants understand practical and sustainable ways to manage the condition.This outreach initiative significantly supported the community by improving their awareness of diabetes and its nutritional management. Through her contribution further strengthened the university’s vision of extending academic expertise and serving society through impactful knowledge sharing.

Dr.Snehal P. Khandekar, Assistant Professor, Food Technology at DY Patil Agriculture and Technical University, Talsande was invited as Guest Speaker by the Medical Association of Ichalkaranji for their CME event (Continuing Medical Education) on “Women’s Health and Nutrition” on April 26th, 2025. About 50 MD and DNB expert female doctors graced this event. “Fuel Your Feminity: Nutrition for Women Hormonal Harmony” was the topic of her presentation. She shared her insights about the varied facets of women’s well-being, as well as the critical role of food and nutrition in sustaining optimal hormonal balance during reproductive age & menopause which was an enlightening discussion.
