The International Relations Cell of D. Y. Patil Agriculture and Technical University is established to promote global engagement and strengthen academic collaborations with international universities, research institutions, and organizations. The Cell serves as the central coordinating body for international academic partnerships, student and faculty exchange programmes, collaborative research initiatives, and global educational opportunities.
The International Relations Cell works to enhance the international visibility and reputation of the university by facilitating global academic partnerships, joint research projects, and cross-cultural learning experiences. It also supports international students and scholars visiting the university and assists local students and faculty members in participating in international academic programmes.
Through these initiatives, the Cell aims to foster internationalization of higher education, encourage knowledge exchange, and prepare students to contribute effectively in a global academic and professional environment.

Functions of the Committee
The International Relations Cell shall:
- Develop and promote international academic collaborations and partnerships.
- Facilitate Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with foreign universities and institutions.
- Coordinate student and faculty exchange programmes, internships, and collaborative research initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support for international admissions and visiting scholars.
- Organize international seminars, conferences, workshops, and academic events.
- Promote global exposure opportunities for students through international training and study programmes.
- Assist in the participation of faculty members in international research collaborations and academic networks.
- Maintain records and documentation related to international partnerships and activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Members of the International Relations Cell shall:
- Identify and establish partnerships with international universities and research organizations.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between the university and international partners.
- Support the development of joint academic programmes and collaborative research initiatives.
- Provide guidance to students and faculty members regarding international opportunities.
- Assist international students and visiting scholars in academic and administrative matters.
- Promote international academic mobility and cross-cultural engagement within the university.
- Maintain documentation and reports on international collaborations and programmes.
Procedure of Functioning
- The International Relations Cell shall prepare an annual plan for international collaboration and engagement activities.
- The Cell shall meet regularly as per the yearly meeting calendar provided by IQAC to review the progress of international partnerships and initiatives.
- Proposals for international collaborations and academic exchange programmes shall be reviewed by the Cell and recommended to the university administration.
- The Cell shall coordinate with academic departments and administrative units for the implementation of international programmes.
- Records of international collaborations, MoUs, exchange programmes, and academic activities shall be maintained for institutional documentation.
- Annual reports on international activities and partnerships shall be prepared and submitted to the university authorities.
