BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Seema Suhas Patil is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering at D. Y. Patil Agriculture and Technical University, Talsande. She earned her Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, and has over 21 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. Throughout her career, she has held several key leadership positions, including Dean Academics, IQAC Coordinator, NBA Coordinator, and Head of Department, contributing significantly to quality assurance, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), curriculum development, and institutional accreditation. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Digital Image Processing, and Precision Agriculture. She has successfully guided more than 11 postgraduate students and over 40 undergraduate engineering project groups. Dr. Patil has published research papers in reputed international journals and conferences, authored the technical books and holds five granted patents (one utility patent and four design patents). She has actively contributed to the academic community as a Convener, Session Chair, Reviewer, and Advisory Committee Member for several national and international conferences and journals. Committed to continuous professional development, she has participated in more than 35 Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), Short-Term Training Programmes (STTPs), workshops, and seminars conducted by reputed institutions. She has also earned NPTEL Elite Certification and other professional certifications, reflecting her dedication to excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and lifelong learning.

Her technical proficiency also includes Internet of Things (IoT), Computer Networking, Analog and Digital Electronics, and embedded system applications. She is skilled in programming using C, C++, and Python, and has hands-on experience with MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Proteus VSM for simulation, research, and engineering applications. 

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
  • Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, completed in 2024. 
  • Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Electronics Engineering from Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT), Sakhrale, affiliated with Shivaji University, Kolhapur, completed in 2010. 
  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics Engineering from Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering and Technology (TKIET), Warananagar, affiliated with Shivaji University, Kolhapur, completed in 2004. 
  • Currently serving as Head of the Department (H.O.D.) and Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering at D. Y. Patil Agriculture and Technical University, Talsande, since July 2026. 
  • Served as Dean Academics and Associate Professor at Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutions, Vathar, from July 2024 to June 2026, providing academic leadership in curriculum planning, quality assurance, institutional accreditation, and academic administration. 
  • Served as Head of the Department (H.O.D.), Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, and Assistant Professor at Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutions, Vathar, from July 2019 to June 2024, leading departmental academic, research, and administrative activities. 
  • Worked as an Assistant Professor at Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutions, Vathar, from July 2010 to June 2019, actively contributing to teaching, research, curriculum development, student mentoring, and NBA/NAAC accreditation initiatives. 
  • Served as a Lecturer at Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT), Sakhrale, from July 2007 to May 2010, teaching undergraduate engineering courses and guiding student projects. 
  • Worked as a Lecturer at Pad. Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology (CAET), Talsande, from January 2006 to July 2007, where she taught core Electronics Engineering subjects. 
  • Began her professional career as a Trainee Engineer at Jaguar Electronics, MIDC, Miraj, from May 2005 to October 2005, gaining valuable industrial experience in electronics engineering.
