BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Amit Jaykumar Chinchawade is an accomplished academician, researcher, and administrator with over 16 years of combined academic and industry experience in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Computer Vision, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Embedded Systems. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineering at D. Y. Patil Agriculture & Technical University, Talsande, Kolhapur. Previously, he served as Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science at Sharad Institute of Technology College of Engineering, Yadrav, where he also held the responsibilities of Academic Coordinator and Program Coordinator.
He obtained his Ph.D. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur. His doctoral research focused on developing authentication and security procedures for the Internet of Everything (IoE) using Machine Learning techniques. He also earned his M.E. in VLSI & Embedded Systems and B.E. in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, establishing a strong foundation in electronics, embedded computing, and intelligent systems.
Dr. Chinchawade’s research focuses on designing intelligent and secure AI-driven systems for healthcare, smart agriculture, industrial automation, wireless communication, cybersecurity, and IoT applications. His work combines deep learning, explainable AI, computer vision, optimization algorithms, and data analytics to address real-world engineering challenges.
He has published 18 research papers in Scopus-indexed, SCI, and UGC-CARE journals, 15 conference papers, 3 book chapters, and has 4 patent applications/design registrations to his credit. His research contributions span artificial intelligence, IoT security, wireless networks, smart agriculture, healthcare analytics, and intelligent embedded systems.
Dr. Chinchawade actively contributes to the research community as a Reviewer and Technical Program Committee Member for several IEEE, Springer, and other international conferences and journals. He has also served as an evaluator for the Smart India Hackathon and is currently guiding doctoral research scholars. His contributions to teaching and research have been recognized through prestigious awards, including the Young Researcher Award and the Best Teacher Award.
