Centre for Interdisciplinary Research

Welcome to the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research (CIR), a vibrant hub of innovation, collaboration, and advanced scientific inquiry. The Centre has been established with the vision of fostering cutting-edge research that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries and addresses emerging global challenges through integrated knowledge and technology.
In today’s rapidly evolving scientific landscape, transformative discoveries often occur at the intersection of multiple disciplines. Recognizing this paradigm, the Centre actively promotes collaborative research in frontier areas such as advanced materials, nanotechnology, energy technology, artificial intelligence, semiconductor engineering, biotechnology, environmental sustainability, agriculture engineering, food science and technology and, smart systems. Our mission is to create an ecosystem where researchers, academicians, industry experts, and students work together to develop innovative solutions with societal and industrial impact.
Our research-oriented academic programs, M.Sc. Materials Science (Nanotechnology), M. Tech. (Energy Technology) and, Ph.D. provide an enabling environment for nurturing creativity, scientific temperament, and leadership among students and researchers. The Centre also aims to strengthen collaborations with national and international institutions, research organizations, and industries to promote high-quality research outcomes, publications, patents, and technology transfer.
I extend a very warm welcome to all students, scholars, faculty members, and industry partners to become a part of this dynamic research ecosystem and contribute towards building innovative technologies and sustainable solutions for the future.
Together, let us explore new frontiers of science and engineering through interdisciplinary research and innovation.
