Mr. Amol A. Shelke is the Assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, DYP-ATU, Talsande (M.S). He has completed B. Tech (Agricultural Engineering) from College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola Maharashtra, M.Tech (Irrigation and Drainage Engineering) from Post Graduate Institute, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola Maharashtra. He also passed ASRB-NET 2018 in Land and Water Management Engineering. He has more than 3 years and 9 months of experience in teaching, research and extension activities about soil and water conservation and precision irrigation water management and agricultural drainage. He has published 1 research paper in international journal, 1 abstract in ISAE annual convention, 1 book chapter in the field of agricultural engineering and 1 popular article. His interest particularly involves precision irrigation water management, precision and sustainable agricultural practices, soil and water conservation, agricultural drainage and on-farm irrigation systems design. Since July 2024, he has been an Assistant Professor at D Y Patil Agriculture and Technical University in Talsande, Kolhapur, focusing on teaching and research. His expertise includes sustainable agriculture, climate-resilient water management, micro-irrigation design, hydrological data analysis, and tools like QGIS, ArcGIS, and MATLAB. Mr. Shelke is passionate about precision agriculture, holds various certificates in advanced farming technologies, and is a life member of the Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers.
