BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Vishal Harishchandra Pundikar is an accomplished academic professional with a strong foundation in computer science, artificial intelligence. He completed his Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) from Shivaji University, Kolhapur (2010), with 67.13% in First Class, and pursued his Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from the same institution (2013), securing 62.66% in First Class. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, with focus on machine learning and advanced computational techniques.
Mr. Pundikar brings a blend of industry experience and extensive academic expertise. He served as a Junior Software Engineer at Brainvire Infotech Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai (September 2013 – May 2014), where he gained hands-on experience in web application development using Microsoft .NET Framework and MVC architecture. Subsequently, he transitioned to academia and has been working at various reputed institutions including Shri Shahaji Chhatrapati Mahavidyalaya, Sanjay Ghodawat University and Yashwantrao Chavan School of Rural Development, Shivaji University.
Currently, Mr. Pundikar serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at D. Y. Patil Agriculture and Technical University (DYP-ATU), Kolhapur, since October 2022. From December 2025, he holds the additional responsibility of Director of Internship and Entrepreneurship. He previously served as Head of Computer Application Department (September 2024 – November 2025). With expertise spanning machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing and various programming languages. He has attended and authored research papers presented at national and international conferences. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and has qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET) in Computer Science and Applications.
